LONG-TERM ROTARY YOUTH EXCHANGE PROGRAM
Rotary’s Long-Term Exchange presents opportunities for high school students to advance their education, become a better person, and contribute to world understanding by allowing them to attend school in a different country. Students live with host families in their adopted land under the sponsorship and supervision of the local host Rotary Club. It is our hope the these students will be able to see firsthand the problems and accomplishments of other people of different colors, creeds, and cultures.
Because of the lengthy history of the Rotary Youth Exchange Program, our long-term exchange program is the largest in the world. And because arrangements are made by local Rotarian’s, it is also one of the safest youth exchange programs in the world.

One entire high school year

September -November of the prior year
SHORT-TERM ROTARY YOUTH EXCHANGE PROGRAM
Rotary’s Short-Term Exchange Program presents opportunities for students to advance their knowledge and world understanding by allowing them to visit a different country for a limited period of time. Participating students live with a matched student and their family in their select country for a period of three to four weeks in the summer under the sponsorship of a local Rotary Club. The matched student would then spend three to four weeks living with the short-term student and their family in the United States.
The object of the Short-Term Exchange Program is to foster world peace, international understanding and good will by extending international communication at the personal level through the exchange of students of high school age. It is our hope that these students will be ale to see firsthand the problems and accomplishments of other people of different colors, creeds and cultures.

3- 4 Weeks (Each Way) in the summer
