Page 4: Students Letter:

Your letter needs to be grammatically correct and interesting, This is what introduces to your host country, your host sister or brother and your host family. This is probably the most important piece of your application. PRO TIP: Write a draft of your letter in a word processing program such a Microsoft Word and utilize the spell and grammar checker. When finished, copy and paste the final document into the online application.

Page 5: Parents Letter:

This letter will be shared with your future host sister or brother and the host family. Ask your parents to write a letter that introduces you and themselves to the family since they will be hosting their son or daughter when they come to stay with you and your family.

Page 6: Photos:

Now we would like you to provide some other photos to better introduce yourself to your exchange family. Four photos are required:

  • My Family - a photo that includes members of your immediate family.

  • My special interest - A photo of you participating in your favorite hobby or activity.

  • Something important - A photo of your friends, pet, musical instrument etc.

  • My home - A photo of your home or the building where you live.

Describe the four photos you just uploaded on page 6 and tell us more about them. Please don’t just write “My Family” in the caption. Instead introduce all family members by name. Do the same for all of your photos.
